DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a mindfulness-based behavioral therapy that was created by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. initially in order to help people who chronically struggle with suicide and / or Borderline Personality Disorder. In the years since DBT was created, DBT has been effectively used to help people with a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, addiction, and PTSD.
In its standard form, DBT has four components including:
1) DBT Skills Training,
2)DBT Individual Therapy,
3) DBT Phone Coaching, and
4) DBT Therapist Consultation Team
We specialize in DBT Skills Training.
Rebecca Anne has been “intensively trained” in DBT by Marsha Linehan’s training company, BTECH and I has 10 years of experience with DBT Skills Training.
We currently work with clients individually on learning, practicing, and integrating the DBT Skills into their lives.
We hope to create a DBT Skills Training Class in the near future. If you would like us to reach out to you when we have a class available, please CONTACT us.
There are increasing numbers of research studies showing that DBT Skills Training alone can be very helpful and effective for people with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, relational, mental, and spiritual difficulties.
